We are looking for a multi-talented candidate who is ready to balance their passion for working with kids and their desire to broaden their skill sets and work experience in YMCA branch operations. We will hire a branch generalist at each of our (4) four branches)

The Branch Generalist position offers the opportunity for an entry level, full-time, year-round position at the YMCA of Northern Colorado. You will gain work experience in our licensed school age programs and on our wellness floor, at our pool, at our front desk, with our properties team and in our child watch center. Our Branch Generalists spend approximately 20 hours a week in after-school or summer day camp programs and up to 20 hours a week working in other areas of our YMCA. Successful candidates will show an enthusiasm for customer service, learning new stuff and being a role model for kids and adults alike. Very successful candidates will show an unparalleled love for working at the Y.

Salary range from $15-$19/hour; based on qualifications. This position is year-round, full-time exempt and includes generous medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability insurance options, paid vacation, sick and holiday time, free YMCA family membership, 50% reduced rates on YMCA of Northern Colorado programs including personal training, swim lessons, after school programs, preschool childcare, day camp programs and more. We provide contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.

To protect our community, all Licensed Child Care Employees will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by October 1, 2021 or prior to hire. Since all other Full-Time YMCA Employees may be called upon to interact with our children and families in our licensed school age programs they too are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by October 1, 2021 or prior to hire.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Dependable, self-motivated and committed to being a positive role model for youth
  • Experience working with children and an understanding of childhood development is preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to occasionally serve as a substitute if needed
  • Current ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens within 30 days of being hired. We can provide this training.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community Preferred
  • Clean MVR for mini bus/YMCA vehicle driving
  • May require travel within our YMCA service area. This will require reliable transportation.
  • School-Age Childcare Director or Program Leader qualification required.
